In this country it is called Naturopathic Medicine but it came from Germany and is called German Biological Medicine in that country. Like some other forms of medicine it believes in the inherent wisdom of the body in knowing how to heal itself. Since multiple disturbance factors are involved in most conditions today, the good Physician must know how to address things such as multiple toxicity from exposure to things like heavy metals, poisons in our food, water and air (including in our homes from “home care” products). The sum total of all these things will impact the vitality of the patient in a negative way by interfering with normal metabolic processes. The body tries to “stash away” these things if it does not have an immediate way to eliminate them. The most utilized “space” in the body for stashing is in the connective tissue and the Europeans have a name for this area. They call it the matrix. It is the tissue between the skin and the muscles and all the organs. It is full of cells and lymphatic fluid. So, before any real healing can take place, these areas must be cleaned out with what are called “drainage remedies”. These are homeopathic and/or herbal remedies that “open up” the channels for the elimination process to be able to proceed. Some of these formulas date back to the middle ages and they were developed in the monasteries, which were the healing centers of the time. The key thing to keep in mind is that they have been proven to work on human beings. If they didn’t work, the formula was not passed on. After the body is cleaned out, then other healing formulas can be put to much more effective use by working with the inherent healing mechanisms in the body. This form of healing makes much more sense than the modern techniques of adding more toxic substances to the body in an attempt to “heal” it. Symptoms like "Brain Fog" and "Fatigue" can be addressed with this therapy. Amazing things happen when you get the body back to homeostasis.
